Sunset Virga
"Virga" is a term used to describe visible rain that is
not hitting the ground. Virga is actually a very
common sight over the Grand Canyon, especially
during the late summer Monsoon season. Every
year the rain storms bring with them not only much
needed moisture and cooler temperatures, but also
incredibly beautiful sunsets. This sunset was
viewed from Grandview Point on the South Rim.
