Andrew Baker
Born in 1978, Andrew fell in love with landscape photography after moving to the
beautiful, little mountain-city of Flagstaff, AZ from the heat of the sprawling
Phoenix valley.  It was in college at Northern Arizona University when Andrew
realized that he could best express himself not through advertising strategies (he
received a BS in Advertising in 2000) but rather through the lens, through the land
and through beautiful imagery.  "I like to think that I see the land in a different light,"
explains Baker.  "An enchanted light, maybe the land as it was seen to peoples
thousands of years ago."  He loves to wander, roam and photograph in designated
wilderness areas and other places of preservation and solitude.  Locations which
show no obvious signs of the human footprint are his preference.  His images are
free of dams, roads, signs, poles and even trails for the most part.  The magic of
raw earth and pure light come together in Baker's photography and the resulting
images define his idea of
Earth Tones.
